Product Introduction

Glucose, commonly known as dextrose, is a simple sugar that serves as a vital energy source for living organisms. It is naturally found in a variety of foods and is a key component in carbohydrate metabolism. In food products, glucose is primarily used as a sweetener and as a means of enhancing flavor.

Product Manufacturing Process

The manufacturing process of glucose involves several steps, starting with starch hydrolysis. Starch is derived from corn, wheat, or potatoes, and is broken down using acid or enzymes into shorter chains, resulting in maltodextrins. Further hydrolysis of these malto-oligosaccharides converts them into glucose. After purification through filtration and evaporation, the resulting glucose syrup is then crystallized to obtain pure glucose powder.

Product Applications

Glucose serves various applications across different industries. In food and beverages, it acts as a sweetener and plays a crucial role in fermentation processes. In the sports nutrition sector, glucose is valued for its quick energy release, making it ideal for athletes and active individuals. Beyond the food realm, glucose is utilized in the pharmaceutical industry as an excipient for drug formulations.
